HazMat Sales sells used beverage-delivery trucks and trailers that have been re-configured for use as hazmat response and rescue vehicles.

Beverage Body and Trailer Service, also a BBT Industries subsidiary, has been refurbishing delivery trucks and trailers for the beverage industry for more than 25 years and is the largest firm in the country focused exclusively on this business.

Used beverage delivery equipment is ideally suited for hazmat response and emergency rescue service. Used equipment can be refurbished and re-configured to the exact needs of each customer in less time and at up to one-half the cost of buying new.

Trucks and trailers can be delivered as shell units ready for outfitting by the customer or can be ordered with a full range of customer-specified options installed and ready for immediate service.

Our inventory includes a wide variety of used trucks and trailers in a range of sizes to accomodate the basic to the most sophisticated hazmat response and emergency resuce preparedness programs. From trucks with 6 seperate equipment compartments with lockable roll-up doors, to trailers with up to 20 bays and a separate and secure air condiaitoned command center, laboratory, or area for especially costly or sensitive equipment or materials.

What is the scope of your Hazmat Business?

We have been refurbishing beverage-delivery equipment for more than 25 years. Five years ago we decided to put our experience in the beverage industry to use in building and reconditioning hazmat vehicles. We have sold HazMat rescue and response vehicles to fire departments and municipalities all over the country. We offer units with a refurbished body and fresh paint that are ready to be outfitted, or we can offer a complete solution with a vehicle that is refurbished, painted, deacled and outfitted to the customer’s specifications.

Why Buy Used instead of new?

Fortunately most hazmat equipment is seldom used. When called upon, properly refurbished used units will be ready to respond and are equally up to the task. New Hazmat vehicles typically cost at least $100,000 for a very basic unit. For many of our customers this does not fit their budget or their needs. Our refurbished units can be purchased for a fraction of the cost of a new vehicle, and our custom design program will allow us to equip it exactly as each customer desires.

What is the scope of equipment options you offer?

We offer a range of equipment options that will meet the needs of our customers. Custom lighting packages and custom fabricated lighting housings are just one of the services we offer. We can equip your hazmat rescue vehicle with a variety of shelving (stationary and pull-out) and tool boards. We can custom design racks and cabinets to your specifications. We have also installed generators, and cascade systems. Mobile command centers are another available option.

Can we deisignate specific manufacturers for the optional equipment we ask HazMat Sales to install prior to delivery?

Yes. We are set up with many different manufacturers.

Many of the other companies selling used hazmat vehicles are brokers, who outsource all or much of the work required to convert a vehicle for hazmat service. We have been refurbishing trucks at our own facilities for more than 25 years and offer warranties that a broker is unable or unwilling to match.

How long does it take from order to delivery?

This will depend upon the amount of customization that each customer requests . Typically delivery can be scheduled in 4-6 weeks.
